Greetings from the Board of Trustees!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAWe are excited to work with you in the next two years in furthering rheumatology in the Philippines through the following priority areas:

  1. Enhancing the culture of PRA by referencing our beginnings as we move towards a stronger organizational identity,
  2. Enriching our experience as members of the PRA by conducting relevant activities and responsive communication, and
  3. Engaging with health policy makers to improve care for our patients.

Among other things, we would like to complete in the next two years a chronicle of the more than five decades of PRA.  As we expand as an organization, we feel that it would be important for our younger and future members to see the growth of PRA through the eyes of its leaders and more senior members.  We are also working towards coordinating our SIG schedules so we could all plan our participation in advance. We hope to synchronize these SIG meetings with activities from the different training institutions so as to foster a more vibrant academic exchange among our trainees.  Finally, we hope to actively advocate for our patients by bring their needs closer to health policy makers, hopefully resulting in improving their standard of care through access to life-improving medications.

Thank you in advance for your involvement and cooperation!
