Requirements to be a Fellow

When does a PRA Member become a PRA Fellow?

Any member of the PRA may qualify as a Fellow AT LEAST TWO YEARS after being granted accreditation as a diplomate. To qualify, s/he must submit the following requirements:

  1. Accomplished Application Form (PRA Application Form 2015)
  2. Letter of application signifying the intention to become a fellow of the organization
  3. A Portfolio containing the following:
    • A census of at least 200 patients including cases of osteoarthrits, crystal induced arthropathies, soft tissue rheumatism, infectious arthritis, osteoporosis and a minimum of the following cases
      • 10 cases of systemic lupus erythematosus
      • 10 cases of rheumatoid arthritis
      • 5 cases of other connective tissue diseases
      • 5 cases of vasculitic syndromes
    • Submit a log of the following procedures:
      • 4 arthrocentesis/ joint aspirations
      • 4 intra-lesional steroid injections
      • 4 chemotherapy interventions
  4. Proof of attendance in 2 PRA Annual Meetings conducted between their time of accreditation as diplomates and the time of application as fellows
  5. Proof of attendance in at least 50% of all PRA initiated scientific meetings, excluding the annual convention, between their accreditation as diplomates and the time of application as fellows

All of the above requirements should be forwarded to the PRA Office found in Room 1408 North Tower, Cathedral Heights Building Complex, St. Luke’s Medical Center – Quezon City, E. Rodriguez Ave, QC, Philippines.
